We work hard to get every story right, but mistakes can happen. When they do, we fix them openly. This page explains how to tell us about an error and what we do next.

How to report an error

Email support@newsclearly.comwith the subject line "Correction". Please include the link to the article, what you believe is wrong and, if you can, a source that shows the correct information.

What happens next

  • We review every report promptly and aim to respond within 48 hours.
  • If we find an error of fact, we fix it and add a dated correction note at the end of the article explaining what changed.
  • Minor fixes, such as spelling or typing errors that don't change the meaning, are made without a note.
  • If an error is serious enough that the article can no longer stand, we may unpublish it and leave a note explaining why.
  • Developing stories are updated as new reporting comes in. Updates that add new information are not corrections, but any change to a fact we got wrong is.

Our articles are drafted from published reporting by other outlets, which is credited under "Sources" on each article. If a source we relied on issues its own correction, we update our article to match. Read more about how we work in our editorial policy and on our About page.
